HELLFIRE 76

BIO

Southern metal powerhouse duo Hellfire 76 has now released their first full-length album "RAGS TO RAGE". The eight-track collection, clocking in at 31 minutes, represents a perfect distillation of the band’s heavy Southern stoner devil metal sound. They delve into a variety of topics from critical examination of dictatorships and religion to personal, relatable experiences. The comment on the record:

“The album is a continuation of our first release, in that the subject matter is all thought-provoking. As for a lot of music, we want the lyrics to be literal but also open to the listener’s interpretation. Sticking with the theme and ideas of Voodoo, Witchcraft, The Occult, and other oddities. We want to take the listeners on a dark and ominous journey into a place they don’t normally think about. Musically, it’s straight up, fuzzed out, uptempo jams, but with the various lyrical topics, it gives the listener a little more to chew on.”

"This has all the trademarks that Southern Rock has, only with Metal as the base. Plus, it is laced with Doom and Stoner influences. It is demanding your attention all through every song on the album."

Artur Szymczak-Poland

"HELLFIRE 76 goal was to create the Heavy Southern Stoner Devil Metal brand, which had been missing for a long time. Full of killer sounds and no unnecessary fillers, this duo gives 110% of themselves on their first full-length album "Rags To Rage"

Amplify The Noise

With Rags to Rage, Hellfire 76 delivers a ferocious full-length debut that solidifies their place in the realm of heavy, southern stoner metal. Combining fuzz-soaked grooves, darkly humorous lyricism, and a sound that punches well above their weight as a two-piece, the album is an exhilarating dive into taboo themes and devilish fun.

Doomed Nation

"Hellfire 76's new full length album, Rags To Rage« draws deeply from the well of Southern Gothic tradition and occult themes. The album showcases the duo’s remarkable ability to create a massive sonic landscape with just two members!"

Q C Nerve

"Hellfire 76, A duo devoted to rampaging Stoner-Doom-Psych-Metal, which swings to dense blues licks that suggest a Triceratops mating with a Sherman Tank!"

Hellfire 76: The lyric video of “The Devil You Know” makes us meet the voices inside our minds

The Hellfire 76 use the masks of voodoo, witchcraft, the occult and tarot cards to tell us stories of how Evil has taken over our world, ruled by liars, impostors and careerists. People are flooded with a river of lies, perpetrated by governments and the Church, which obscure our view of the Truth.

HeavyMag.com

"Drink the concoction prepared by the band, a cocktail of blood riffs, genuine rhythms and distorted vocals that you can find in the dirtiest pubs in New Orleans! Fans of Kyuss, ZZ Top, Killing Joke, The Melvins and Clutch will be thrilled!"

Integral Metal

"In the radius of bituminous rhythms, nevertheless animated by a Rock energy, we frankly opt more for cousinage with CLUTCH, a formation that has always been able to evolve between thickness, melody and conciseness. With, as a bonus, these hints of greasy and oily Blues which inject a kind of groove and sap within a Metal which should not silence or ignore its affinities with the severe and groovy Metal proper to Pantera."
